1:1 Integrated Performance Packages - The ultimate trifecta.
Before we dive into the Integrated Performance Package (IPP), let’s talk what Performance & Wellness Consultation (PWC) looks like, generally speaking.
A typical PWC on its own is like life coaching with a sports psychology flair - we problem solve, strategize, and find ways to get you a more balanced lifestyle through the lens of performance, and stress and emotional management. These are transformation-focused. Sessions may cover any of the Wellness pillars, from physical health to mindset, stress management to relationship woes. These are mostly talk-based with the occasional exercise - whether that be stretching, mindfulness, or dynamic/mobility drills; stuff that can be done pretty much anywhere to give you a boost. They are not clinical-level, diagnostic sessions.
If you’re seeking to hone in your form on certain lifts, learn how to build a meal plan, or learn to create your own exercise programming for full autonomy, I help with that in PWC, too. Performance coaching is available in-person or online, but these particular activities are most effective in person.
Sessions can be recurring or a la carte, with recurring sessions allowing for us to build a strategic plan to move you forward. With a la carte, once our session ends we part ways. Any action items born from these sessions are yours to follow through with.
To learn more about the difference between Performance & Wellness Consultation (PWC) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), visit the blog post! For that post, Wellness Coaching = PWC.
The Integrated Performance Package is where that changes.
This service is far more comprehensive.
With this monthly membership, you still get session support - two 50 minute sessions are included each month. In those sessions we explore your needs, build skills and emphasize behavior or habit changes that will work alongside the other perks - exercise programming and nutrition support - to provide you a well-rounded experience where you show up, do the work, and reap the benefits.
IPP offers two comprehensive pathways - Clinical and Non-Clinical. The clinical route, Clinical Mental Health Counseling
(CHMC) is for those who are seeking deeper support for mental health concerns that require diagnosis. Non-clinical, Performance & Wellness Consultations (PWC), is the route detailed above. Regardless of pathway, the overarching outcome is better emotional control, improved communication, reduced stress, and increased agency and quality of life.
Your programming would be customized to you and can be in general support of your lifestyle or can be tailored to be more strength-based (think powerlifting, functional movement, etc.). Following your workouts is made easy by using an intuitive app, which allows you to swap exercise days and needed, add in notes, and track different metrics so you can follow your progression in real time. I take care of all the planning for you so all you have to do is get into the gym and train. Pretty sweet!
Nutrition support comes in the form of macros that fit your goals and eating habits. We address any resistance to tracking and make it as easy as possible to get you comfortable - it’s pretty great once you’ve gotten the hang of it! Many people stall with nutrition because despite eating in a healthy way, many folks don’t know how much they’re eating to get a true understanding of portion sizes. Macro tracking helps with that. If you’ve never tracked macros before, I guide you as you learn and become more comfortable with it. I also have several awesome resources for you to use to help you build meal your own plans, so you’re not figuring it all out on your own.
Of course, if you’re really not about the macro life, I offer meal planning as well.
Finally, we track a number of habits and metrics. Scale weight, volume/intensity, adherence, stress levels, mood, body circumferences, body fat percentages… the list goes on. If you’re experiencing any weight distress, we may nix the scale altogether - it’s only one of many ways to track progress, after all. Seeing your patterns over time help you with adherence and increase motivation (plus, data is cool!).
To stay on track, weekly check-ins are sent out. These are huge for accountability. They also help me know where you’re at in between sessions, any challenges that may be getting in the way, and allow you to provide me some feedback on how to best support you. I also like to share recipes, interesting topics, and the occasional PDF book that would support your progress. These resources cover physical gains and mental fortitude.
Please note - IPP is not a “quick fix.” The progress made is directly correlated with the amount of effort you put in. I will hype you every step of the way.
